Riccardo Tisci has been named creative director of Burberry. The designer will already sign upcoming September collection.
The appointment as Burberry’s creative director is now official, according to the same Riccardo Tisci’s declaration on his Instagram profile.
Paris Fashion Week this year also gives us unexpected news. Indeed the news of the new appointment has been relased during the parisian catwalks. After a year of absence of the designer from the fashion scene, Riccardo Tisci comes back as major creative part of one of the most fashionable fashion houses of the period.
Marco Gobbetti himself – CEO of Burberry and Italian too – called Riccardo in the team.
Tisci collects the demanding legacy of Christopher Bailey who has been at Burberry’s stylistic guide for 17 years. A challenge that, however, Riccardo is ready to collect, after being able to reinstate the Givenchy brand on the catwalks of the world.
